Care guide

Care guide

We make clothes to be used and loved for a long time. Every Moo Knit piece is made from natural fibers that last and feel good to wear. Wool is strong, soft, and easy to care for, so you can enjoy your knit season after season. It keeps you warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s warm, so you can wear it all year :)

Wool care
Wool stays fresh naturally. Most of the time, you only need to air it out. Hang it outside for a few hours and it will feel clean again. If you get a stain, use a damp cloth to wipe it off.

Shedding in natural wool garments is completely normal, especially in the beginning. Both merino and alpaca are made from long, soft animal fibers that are not chemically treated or glued together the way synthetic yarns often are. Because of this, some of the shorter surface fibers will naturally release during the first wears.

Machine wash
Turn your garment inside out.
Use a detergent made for wool. Regular detergent can damage the fibers.
Wash one item at a time on a wool program at 30°C.
Shape it while wet and lay it flat to dry.
You can lightly steam it while it’s damp if you want a smooth look.

Hand wash
Turn your garment inside out.
Fill a sink with lukewarm water (30°C).
Add wool detergent and mix it in before you add the knit.
Press the garment gently in the water for 5–10 minutes. Do not rub or twist.
Rinse in water with the same temperature.
Roll it in a towel to remove extra water or spin it briefly at 600 rpm.
Lay it flat to dry and shape it back to size.

Important! If your Moo Knit piece is marked with hand wash only, do not put it in the washing machine, even on a wool program. This wool is more delicate and can shrink or lose its shape in the machine. Always wash these pieces very gently by hand in lukewarm water and lay flat to dry.
