FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How and where are your products made?

Being transparent is one of the most important values for us at Moo Knit. We want you to know how and where your clothes are made, and who’s behind them. You can read all about our production, yarn and suppliers on this page.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping rates and delivery times vary depending on where you live. Read more here.

Do prices include taxes or import duties?

Yes. All applicable taxes, VAT/GST, customs duties and brokerage/clearance fees are included in the price you pay at checkout.

What is a pre-order and when can I expect it?

Most of our pieces are made through pre-order. It means we aim to only produce what’s needed, with no overstock or waste. Delivery time is a bit longer, but we hope you think it’s worth it. You’ll find the estimated delivery time on each product page.

Can I visit the factory?

Absolutely. Oleana welcomes visitors to the factory and museum area in Ytre Arna. It is a lovely place to see how Norwegian knitwear is made. Read more here.

Can I buy directly from the factory at Oleana?

Yes, you can visit Oleana’s factory shop in Ytre Arna, just outside Bergen. All Moo Knit pieces are made there, and sold in the shop if we have them in stock.

How do I choose the right size?

Check our size guide here.

Are the sweaters unisex?

Our essential layers are designed for a feminine fit, but can be worn by anyone. The chunky sweaters have a loose, relaxed shape that suits different body types.

Does the wool itch?

We use soft merino and alpaca yarns chosen for comfort and durability. Most people find them completely itch free, even against bare skin.

Do the clothes need to be hand washed?

Pieces marked "hand wash" should not go in the machine, not even on a wool program. We recommend airing them out between wears, wool cleans itself easily. Read our care guide here.

Will you repair products if something goes wrong?

If your knit gets a hole or a loose thread, it can be fixed. We keep yarn and materials from production so we can repair your Moo Knit if needed. Send us an email at support@mooknit.com and we’ll help you bring it back to life.

Will you make clothes from other natural materials too?

Right now we focus on wool, but never say never. As long as it can be knitted, we're open to experiment with other good materials too. We’d love to hear your ideas for what you’d like us to make in the future on always improve :)
